London Womens Center adds latest UltraSound Imaging Technology

LONDON, Ky. (May 16, 2003) – Marymount Medical Center’s London Women’s Center today announced that it has purchased the newest advance in ultrasound four-dimensional imaging technology.

London Women’s Center is one of the first facilities in the Southeastern Kentucky to utilize the new equipment from GE Medical Systems.

“It is sometimes difficult for our patients to see clear pictures of their unborn babies on traditional ultrasound machines,” said Dr. Thomas Mechas, OB / GYN at London Women’s Center. “This technology represents a fundamentally different way of acquiring and viewing ultrasound images, which translates into better and more efficient ultrasound exams for our patients.”

The New 4D ultrasound is already being used for patients of London Women’s Center.
